About MDI Gems

Meet the Artist Behind MDI Gems

 Our founder, Rachell Williams, has always had a passion for jewelry design—and when it came to adornment, she’s always marched to the beat of her own drum. MDI Gemstones began with designs sold in local beauty salons to support her daughter through college. As her following grew, she was asked for more “elaborate pieces,” sparking a deeper exploration of mixed metals and bolder forms—until what she loved became her life’s work: a true passion. 

One-of-a-Kind Handcrafted Jewelry Inspired by Gemstones

When “design” becomes “passion,” it stops feeling like work—it becomes who you are. With gratitude for a father who was an artist, Rachell brings that creative spirit into every piece, embracing gemstones and jewelry design as one of the truest art forms. MDI Gems also weaves in vintage pieces and vintage thought, preserving character while creating something entirely new.
